Hopeful Story, May 17, 2015

Loaves and fishes are still being multiplied today. There are people in need and if we donate now those donations can be multiplied. God will use what we offer and multiply that both financially and beyond.
Canada is an amazing country—our government matches donations for relief efforts when natural disasters hit vulnerable areas. Please pray that Canada continues to help those in need with foreign aid and relief efforts.
As a family, we issued a challenge to our kids. If you make a donation to Nepal we will match it and then the government will match that donation. For example if you donate $25 we will donate $25 and then the government will match that $50, which will send $100 to help those affected. That is an excellent return for your money and more than a worthwhile investment.
What would it look like if more families from Hope issued the same challenge to their families? What if you asked that of your friends or coworkers?
There are many organizations that are working in Nepal and you may chose from many reputable NGO’s (Non government Organizations). Lets direct some of Canada’s tax dollars to bring some bread, fish, medical care, warmth and shelter to the people of Nepal. Below is what World Renew, a ministry of the the Christian Reformed, Church posted on their website.
“The Canadian government will match Canadian donations to World Renew's Nepal Earthquake Response dollar for dollar through May 25th; the match will be applied retroactively to gifts made since April 25th.” http://worldrenew.net/nepalearthquake.
So far one of our children has responded with a “Here mom, this is for Nepal.” Not sure what our final tally will be but I know it is a solid return for our donations. I know God is a great multiplier.
