Hopeful Story, April 26, 2015

Free Continental Breakfast. Free babysitting. A free tour of the church. A chance to meet with other regular attenders, Hope Fellowship’s staff and me as we answer every question you’ve ever had about our church but were afraid to ask. That pretty much describes our next “Introducing Hope Fellowship” Seminar, scheduled for Saturday, May 2, from 9 till noon.
If you decide to join us, and I hope that you will, you will be greeted with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and muffins, as well as fruit, juice and the kind of finger food that you expect at a continental breakfast. From that point on, you will hear stories. Stories about how people discovered our church. The story of Hope Fellowship’s start, stumble and re-start. Stories about each of the six ministry zones, told by our zone co-ordinators. And the stories that spring to mind as we take you through the building to places that you have never seen before, including a hidden art studio. We may even show you our secret gardens!
We have offered this seminar bi-annually for a dozen years. It has helped newcomers to understand why some things are published in the bulletin and other things in the newsletter, how to get a mailbox, what the volunteer opportunities are, and how small groups work. Most importantly, we share the vision and the mission of the church so that you really get what God is calling us to do together as a church.
In the bulletin that you are reading right now, you will find your free ticket to this event. Please fill it out and put it in the offering bag, drop it off at the Info Centre, or contact the church office. That way we know how much food to prepare and how many babysitters to get.
Will you come and join us? I can’t wait to spend this Saturday morning with you.
- Pastor Peter
