Note from the Sun, February 19, 2017

  People know that we are living in very precarious times. Definitely, these are days of great uncertainty and concern. As a Christian community, it is ok to express and share our concerns. By doing so, we are not denying that God is ultimately in control. We are basically admitting our humanity and our need for our Sovereign God. We are admitting that we are real and that is what the world needs right now – a good dose of reality!!!

  This past Wednesday I was privileged to represent Hope Fellowship at Pastors Day at Knox Christian School.   I wish you could have all been there to see the Durham High School praise team lead worship and the Knox kids sing along and participate by playing drums!

  In July 2016, a team of youth and adult volunteers from Hope Fellowship travelled to the Dominican Republic to work with the Samaritan Foundation, assisting in the construction of a new house for an impoverished family.   During our time together our team experienced such a wide range of emotions.
