Hopeful Story May 20, 2017

Dear Friends of Hope Fellowship,
Twenty years ago, we arrived in Oshawa, with 3 little children in tow.  We enjoyed a warm welcome at Zion and quickly became part of the church family.  From midnight hockey, to Coffee Break, Praise Team, and Cadets, we found a place where we felt a part of the community.
As Zion grew into Hope, God led us to become involved in many areas of the church.  The worship band Stonesthrow was formed, the boys' program BROS was started, and an interest in the audio/visual side of church began.  Work as Deacon and VLB elder led to a deeper understanding of what makes a church 'tick'.  Our lives have been enriched and blessed through our time at Hope.
But it is time for a change for our family...
Our dream of owning and running our very own Bed and Breakfast has finally come true.  Goderich, "the prettiest town in Canada" will now become our hometown, and our longest commute will now be from the kitchen to the loft in the attic.  We have seen God's hand in each step of this new adventure and continue to trust his leading.  It is exciting, scary, and thrilling - all in one!
We will miss all of you, our Hope family, very much.  You have been so good to us, supporting us, being a listening ear, and sharing a warm hug.  Our life group has literally been a lifeline to us, and we affectionately call them our "3 am friends" - available anytime there is need, a prayer, or a reason to celebrate!  Hope Fellowship will always have a special place in our hearts and it will be difficult to think of doing life without you.
Saying goodbye is the hardest thing to do, and the church picnic will be our last time of fellowship with you.  Emilios is leaving the 4th of June and Connie will be joining him when the Immanuel school year is over.
Thank you for being an integral part of our lives,

Blessed 2B Blessing,
Connie and Emilios
