Schools of Hope
I keep on my office wall a poster that outlines the difference between 'abundance thinking' and 'scarcity thinking'.  Scarcity thinking says there will never be enough. Abundance thinking, however, says that there will always be more. Abundance thinking is generous with others, whereas scarcity thinking hoards.  Scarcity thinking believes times are tough.  Abundance thinking believes the best is yet to come.
The year Knox celebrates its 60th year!  I believe that God is a God of abundance and that the best is yet to come.
As Christian schools, we know tribulation.  Knox has had its fair share of difficult.  Over 14 years our enrollment dropped from 352 to 118.  We are blessed to be experiencing renewed growth currently, but no matter what Christian school you go to, there are stories of ups and there are stories of downs.  The downs help us keep our trust and faith in God.  The ups remind us that every day holds the promise of abundance.
Churches like Hope Fellowship allow Christian schools to believe in abundance and to have confidence that, no matter the adversity, we will come out the other side unscathed.  Through your generosity and unwavering support, through thick and thin, you have partnered, together with the Body of Christ, in ensuring that this important Christian ministry can thrive.  We thank you, our families thank you, and our students thank you.
Romans 12:12 tells us to "Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer."  God has a plan for our Christian schools, and we invite you to join us as we rejoice in His abundance, stay patient when times feel scarce, and constantly look to God for His direction.
