Hopeful Story, March 31.2019

In our hurry-up-and-move-on-to-the-next-thing world, we often forget to stop and celebrate milestones along the way. Sometimes it’s good just to stop and remember and enjoy. As I look back at the calendar for the last month, there have been so many good things!
Euchre Night—about 50 people came together and played games and learned about human trafficking in the Durham region. $600.00 was raised to help combat this dreadful abuse.
Gen R Us—the first seminar was held and the first steps were taken to help understand what God teaches us in the Bible about our financial resources and how we are to take care of them.
Family Curling Night—last Sunday’s hopeful story highlighted this event and how much fun was had while funds were raised for the Hope for Dominican team.
Ladies Night Out also gathered to learn more about a Dominican Republic outreach—Days for Girls. Many women went home with items to sew and kits will be put together for girls in the Dominican. Our Hope for Dominican team plans to deliver 100 kits this summer.
Climate changes discussions and what our role as Christians should be in this world.
Live Worship Service— a great time of extended worship, prayer and teaching on a Sunday evening, led by our Young Adults but for people of all generations.
We’ve experienced so many amazing events that required much work on the part of Hope Fellowship people. Even as we look ahead to what’s coming next, let’s give thanks for so many events that show God’s love to each other and to the world around us.
