Hopeful Story, March 26, 2017

One of the things any organization struggles with is communication: How do we get word out? How much do we say? Who needs to know? Who needs to be involved in the decision-making process?
The leadership at Hope Fellowship works on this and Brian, our Interim Ministry Director, is wonderful at communication, but we all know that sometimes things get left unsaid and that people continue to miss things, in spite of our efforts.
We do have a number of means of communication: there is a weekly email that goes out on Friday afternoon, and a newsletter that is published every other week. We try to let you know about important events by visual and verbal announcements in church every Sunday. Through the church bulletin, we try to keep you updated on what’s happening with our church family. We have a website (currently undergoing a major upgrade) and a Facebook page. There’s more ways to communicate, and if you have an idea for a way we can get messages out, we’d love to hear from you! Feel free to contact the office to give us your ideas.
If you are not signed up for the weekly email, but would like to be, please email the office—officeadmin@hopefellowship.ca—and we’ll get you set up. If you want to receive regular news from Hope Fellowship and the Christian Reformed denomination, please ask to have a mail slot set up for you. And then remember to check it regularly.
More importantly—let us know when there are things going on in your life. Your Pastoral Care Elder would love to pray for you and visit you, if that’s appropriate (see the newsletter to find out who your elder is or contact the church office). We’d love to share via the bulletin if you’d like people to pray for you. If it’s private, our prayer team will pray for you and no one else needs to know. As we do life together, we can better support, pray for, and be family. And what’s more hopeful than a loving, God-honouring community to call home?
